As the week of pomp and official celebration winds down and the day-to-day work that will be required to heal and improve our nation begins, this musical composition seems particularly significant and inspiring to me. Perhaps it will resonate with you, too.

I believe Douglas Major used to sub as our organist sometimes when I sang with the National Presbyterian Church choir about 30 years ago. He was fantastic then, but has obviously improved with age!
Speaking of cats jumping, Jacob dove for the door when I played this!
It is beautiful as well as imposing--I hope things go this well in DC and elsewhere for the next few years. What a relief that would be!
